Lying deep within the Kentish woodland, 3 miles outside of Deal, a renowned smugglers town, you will find Smugglers Festival. Now in its 6th year, it specialises in World, Psychedelic, Jazz and Folk music.
From woodland fireside gigs, to morning maths lectures with Professor Appleblossom, to secret gigs, secret bars, a banging main stage and so so much more; there is something for everyone.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I get a refund on my ticket?
No refunds, however, you can resell tickets
Do I have to pay extra for camping?
No. Your ticket price is the same whether you choose to camp or not.
How will I know if I have a ticket or not?
You will receive a receipt on email and then the tickets will be mailed to you.
Will tickets be available on the gate?
Possibly however weekend tickets sold out with 1 month to go last year.
I’m under 18, can I buy a ticket?
Yes, all ages are welcome, if you are under 18 you must be accompanied by an adult. You won’t be able to buy any alcohol or drink onsite but you can have as much new music as you like.
Do children 12 and under need tickets?
Under 12’s are free
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, no dogs allowed
Disability and Access
We want to make sure nobody misses out on the event. If you have a disability but are unsure of whether the festival will provide the appropriate facilities for you, then please get in touch and we will do everything we can to help you out.
Getting to Smugglers
N.B. All info will be sent with tickets.
What time do the gates open?
You can arrive at the site any time after 14:00 on Thursday 1st Sept.
Do I need to exchange my ticket for a wristband?
Yes you do. When you arrive you will need to present your ticket to the gate staff along with some ID, which will be exchanged for a wristband allowing you access to the site.
Is there a limit on tent size?
We ask you to be respectful or your neighbours as our campsite is not big, please bring reasonably sized tents to to accommodate a fair amour of people ie a bell tent for a family is fine but not for 1 person. No porches, gardens or lounges out front of tents!
Can I bring my live-in vehicle?
Sorry no caravans or camper vans, the site is not big enough sorry.
Is there free water on site?
Yes, there are 4 water points throughout the site
Where can I find lost property?
Lost property will be taken to the Box office, which will be marked on the festival map.
And who can I contact after the festival for lost property?
Can I get cash out at the festival?
Sadly no, so make sure you bring enough to keep you going for the event.
Is there any lock up service for valuables?
No. We don’t have this facility, so please don’t tempt fate by leaving valuables on show.
Food and Drink
Can I bring in my own alcohol?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring some along. However, if lugging your own booze around is too much or you’d like to sample some local grog then we have a fully licensed bar chocked full of local beers, cider and wine for your delectation.
Can I bring food into the festival?
Yes, but if you’d like the cooking to be done for you there will be plenty of hot homemade food available for you to gorge on at lunch, dinner and breakfast.
Can I BBQ?
No fires or or BBQ in campistes
Will food and drink be reasonably priced then?
Yes. As this ain‘t your usual corporate event, all food and booze is priced so it won’t cripple your wallet.
